South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey (Ynys Mon)
December 6, 2017
South Stack Lighthouse is a must for all visitors to Anglesey (Ynys Mon). Set in a spectacular location on Holy Island, it is a wonderful place to spot birds nestling in the rocks. During the spring, seabirds such as guillemots, razorbills and puffins breed on the dramatic cliffs.
The lighthouse is located on a small island, and is reached by descending a number of steps from the steep cliffs on the main island. The reserve has a visitor centre and cafe, making it the perfect spot for a family day out. It is possible for visitors to tour the former engine room before taking on the challenge of climbing to the top of the lighthouse.
