The New Forest is particularly famous for its ponies and they are without doubt one of the area’s main attractions. These are not strictly wild animals, as they belong to local commoners who have the right to graze them on open land.

Beaulieu Motor Museum is a must do for all visitors to the area. The estate of the Montagu family is home to one of the largest and most fascinating collections of cars and memorabilia in the world. There are many vintage cars on display, along with vehicles from well know televsion shows and films.

Buckler’s Hard is a small hamlet located on the picturesque banks of the Beaulieu River. Unspoilt by the passage of time, it gives visitors an idea of what life was like many years ago in a shipbuilding village. The maritime museum tells of the area’s unique story.
